FALL SPORTS INFORMATION:
FOOTBALL August 5th - 7-12th grade Parent meeting at 7pm in the DLHS Commons August 7th - First day of practice for 9-12 football. 8am-12pm at DLHS August 7th - First day of practice for 7th and 8th grade football - 4:00-5:30 at the sports complex ALL FOOTBALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A COMPLETED PHYSICAL FORM, CONCUSSION FORM AND A DLPS PARENT PERMISSION FORM BEFORE STUDENTS MAY PRACTICE.These forms are available at MPS, DLHS and will be at the parent meeting, Students are responsible to get to practice before the start of school. Beginning August 20th, students will ride district transportation after school to practice.

Co-op Announcement On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Four Winds School Board voted to dissolve its volleyball, girls/boys basketball and cross country co-op with Minnewaukan Public School. This will begin with the 2026-2027 school year. Our school will explore all options available to continue to provide extra-curricular opportunities to our students. This will include hosting our own activities as well as reaching out to area schools to discuss co-op possibilities. Our main priority is to ensure all students will continue to have the opportunity to participate in the extra-curricular activities that are important to them. Minnewaukan School still has job openings for the upcoming school year. Interested persons should call or email Mr. Dennis (kent.dennis@k12.nd.us). These positions can be full or part-time. We are looking for a custodian and a kitchen assistant. The kitchen assistant would help with meal preparation, serving meals, dishwashing and taking lunch counts.

Summer School Families,
We will be going to the Canad Inn on Thursday, June 26th, to reward our students for all their hard work during summer school! Students with 2 or less days can attend. Your student was sent home with a handout with more information. Please fill out the information and send back to school. If you have questions, call the school.
The 7-12 volleyball game schedule is available for the 2025 season. Please note: SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. We will do our best to notify you of any changes in a timely manner.

2nd and 3rd grade summer school students worked last week on constructing bridges. Tuesday they tested the strength of their bridge. ALL bridges were able to hold the weight of 4 different objects! Way to go 2nd and 3rd graders!!!!

Elementary students have a field trip to CCCC college this afternoon. All elementary and high school students will be dismissed at 3 from Ft. Totten. Your student maybe home at a different time than normal. Call the school before 2:30 with any bus notes.

7-12 Fall Sports
7-12 fall sports will begin in August. Students can participate in three sports: Volleyball with Four Winds, Cross Country with Four Winds and Football with Devils Lake. Around the beginning of August, we will post the dates and times of the first practices and/or orientation meetings. Students will need 9 practices before they can compete. They will also need to have a physical completed before they can practice. Forms are available at the school and at most clinics. Spend a day will be outdoors learning about soils, plants, water, and wildlife with the Spirit Lake Nation Conservation Day Camp. Experience kayaking, archery, and tribal cultural stories with our elders. Lunch, snacks and transportation will be provided. Contact the school to register!
